Robert
Tonner,
Featured Artist
Robert Tonner’s life-long interest in dolls, top-level
fashion designer experience, and designing and sculpting talents led
to his creation of the Tonner Doll Company, one of the most successful
and celebrated doll manufacturers in the world. The Tonner Doll
Company has manufactured fine dolls designed and sculpted by Robert,
from little girl and classic character dolls, to fully articulated
high fashion dolls with exquisite collections of costumes. Robert was
our special guest in 1998 and created the Eliza Goes to Sauder Village
doll which many of you own. For 2008, Robert is creating a Sauder
Village Exclusive “Mary Lee” doll from the Kripplebush line of dolls
that Robert has not made for some time. Robert is finalizing the
design and costuming of the “Mary Lee”doll and we will post her photo
and price on the Sauder Village website www.SauderVillage.org as soon
as available. We hope you will join us in welcoming back Robert to our
annual Doll Show & Sale.
