11; Saturday, December 12, 2009
Time: Tours last roughly 90 minutes and will be repeated every half
hour from

Come join us for this special holiday experience... an opportunity to experience a turn-of-the-century
Christmas at Sauder Village! The flicker of a candle-lit lantern will
light the way as our costumed interpreter, through a personalized, guided
lantern tour, takes small groups on a journey
to meet historical characters in the 1910 Homestead, the District 16
Schoolhouse, Villages' St. Mark's Church and the Train
Depot. Guests will be invited to experience the
holiday customs and celebrations of the 1900s in Northwest Ohio as along
the way, your guide will share stories about Christmas' past and the
history of Northwest Ohio. Participants will also "meet" people
from the past as part of the program. Because this is a personalized
guided tour, guests will be encouraged to ask questions and interact with
their guide. At the church, all will join in a hymn sing and receive a
special gift appropriate to the late 1800s. We hope
you will join us for this new holiday experience at Sauder Village. Pre-registration
