will make plans soon to dine with us at the Barn Restaurant! Looking around the restaurant, you'll see the hand-hewn timbers that we believe were made by a construction crew from Fort Wayne, Indiana in about 1861, when the barn was originally built on the Mose
Stutzman farm just two miles northeast of the Village.
The aged barn began its new life in the winter of 1974 in a five-day journey across frozen
fields to its present location. Then, on July 19, 1976, at the age of 115, the Barn opened its doors once again, this time as a full-service family restaurant.
With a quarter century of growth behind us we now serve more than 200,000 guests each year. We buy about 42,000 pounds of beef each year from a local butcher and 90,000 pounds of chicken for broasting. Our pies, rolls and breads are baked fresh in our own Doughbox
Bakery, adjacent to the Barn. By dining with us, you'll be sharing our past and
building our future. We hope you will join us!
